Stamford's Youth Center

Yerwood Center is dedicated to providing youth with educational and personal development opportunities that will empower them to reach their potential and contribute to society. Through programs, camps and after school activities modeled in part after Stamford Board of Education principles and taught by talented educators, the community center enriches hundreds of students daily.

heartProgram Highlights

  • Extended Day Program

    The Extended Day Program accommodates students from Kindergarten to 6th grade and promotes a safe and fun environment through youth development with a conduit of academic reinforcement, healthy living insights, building social skills, and team players through recreation and sportsmanship.
  • I-XCEL Teens

    The Yerwood Center has incorporated teen programming that benefit teenager's academic, career and financial development. Teens are additionally involved daily in the Extended Day Program by helping with homework assistance, food service, and recreational activities.
