Poetry Comes From the Heart
Lookout everyone it’s a bird, it’s a plane; no its the Yerwood
kids who are doing their thing. The Yerwood Center camp operates for
eight hours,
five days a week, with 300 hundred young creative minds. This happens to be
the perfect recipe for a weekly poetry lesson for
age groups. The children received a poetry session during the week of
July 4th. This session was especially significant because it gave the
kids an opportunity to
to express their appreciation for America’s historic Independence
Day. Not only did
these kids write a poem but there were also many small competitions
with each winner
receiving a small prize. Each winner’s poem had to be at least four
lines, rhyme and
relate to the memorable July 4th holiday.
